EGON SCHIELE JAHRBUCH encourages academics in the humanities, writers and artists at any stage in their career to contribute. Manuscripts in English or German should be sent as Word files by e-mail attachment to >> contributions@egon-schiele-jahrbuch.at

 

Guidelines for contributions to the EGON SCHIELE JAHRBUCH

 

Contributions	Papers should be original and not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Articles published in Egon Schiele Jahrbuch can be used elsewhere by their authors as long as Egon Schiele Jahrbuch is acknowledged and notified by e-mail.
Quality	Articles will be checked by the editors and, if in doubt, they will be peer-reviewed. Different and even opposite methods and scientific positions are explicitly welcome.
Language	English or German (exceptionally other European languages such as French or Spanish can be accepted).
Files	Word
Length	Articles should be under 12000 words, exceptions must be agreed upon with the editors.
Abstract	When sending a research article, please include an abstract of approx. 250 words. This is not necessary in short reports or reviews, etc.
Endnotes	Please do not use footnotes, but numbered endnotes.
Bibliography	Please do not compile a separate bibliographical list. Full bibliographical references should be provided only in the endnotes for works at their first appearance in the text. For all subsequent references, use abbreviated quotations. Please refer to the 15th edition of The Chicago Manual of Style for quotation format.
Illustrations	Any illustration material must be provided by the authors. Technical information can be given by the editors on request. Authors are also required to get copyright permission for the illustrations and photographs used in their articles. The editors will help authors to get the corresponding copyright permissions if necessary. Please do not send pictures by e-mail – You will be informed about how to send them by the editors.
